‘LEEK PALESTINE LINK GROUP PRESENTS

THIS IS PALESTINE is a new documentary that follows Riverdance founder John McColgan on a journey through Gaza and the West Bank. The film features powerful interviews with people who have lost their homes, land or family members as a result of the ongoing conflict, as well as inspiring footage of the Israeli and Palestinian activists working together for a just peace.

The film marks the 50th anniversary of the military occupation of the West Bank and the tenth anniversary of the blockade of Gaza, the film shows the urgent need for a renewed effort to bring a lasting peace to all the people of this region.

AROUND THE WALL: BEND IT LIKE BETHLEHEM is a journey through women’s football in the West Bank. Whether playing matches against league teams or informal kick-arounds on the rock-strewn pitches of hill-top villages of South Hebron, football is the common language as cultural barriers are crossed and new friendships established.

This short documentary film follows a group of woman footballers from the UK and Germany on the football trip of a lifetime to Palestine.

The film’s poignant testimonies highlight cultural issues surrounding local women’s participation in sport as well as the struggle to remain steadfast on their homelands.’
